The project for the rehabilitation of the Rodes industrial complex in Alcoy was born with the ambition of reconnecting the city with its industrial and modernist identity, reactivating a disused space to give it new meanings. The aim is to transform the industrial past into a driving force for the future, capable of promoting innovation, culture and urban life while respecting the city's heritage. Beyond restoring buildings, a strategic intervention is proposed that articulates a new model of city: inclusive, sustainable and dynamic. The initiative envisages three main uses - a Public Garden, a Cultural Space and a Technology Centre - that seek to foster creativity, entrepreneurship and coexistence.
The project is also a declaration of intent: to recover the industrial memory of Alcoy not as a nostalgia, but as an opportunity to build a present more connected with its history, its landscape and its people.
Through a Public Garden, a Cultural Space and a Technology Centre, Rodes recovers its heritage value to activate new models of coexistence, work and innovation at the service of the city.
Solution
Ramón Esteve is leading an intervention that combines architecture, design and landscape to bring the Rodes factory complex back to life. With more than 11,000 m² rehabilitated, the proposal is articulated around a large garden-square inspired by a Mozart score, which turns the space into a sensorial and symbolic experience. The industrial buildings have been restored with lightness and luminosity, and will soon house cultural, educational and technological uses, from libraries to innovation capsules.
Once the project is completed, the spaces will be equipped with Actiu furniture with collections such as Meetia, designed by Ramón Esteve, establishing a dialogue between contemporary design and the industrial character of the complex. Actiu's collections will contribute to provide these spaces with warmth, functionality and coherence with the project's narrative. To create a new urban fabric that is open, plural and connected through design.

What types of personal data does ACTIU collect?
ACTIU collects the data strictly necessary to manage the relationships established with its clients, contacts, suppliers and collaborators. In any case, the data collected will be adequate and not excessive, being limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are processed, and will be processed fairly and lawfully, and with due care.

Location of the information
All personal data related to the organisation and management of events are stored in secure computer applications and servers, as well as in specific electronic folders accessible only to authorised persons.
